Campaign privacy notice.
This prototype includes model privacy language that should be reviewed against the campaign's actual tools, data practices and legal obligations before launch.
Information the campaign may collect
Depending on how you interact with the campaign, information may include your name, email, phone number, address or postal code, volunteer interests, event registrations, sign requests, questions you submit and legally required contribution information.
How information may be used
Campaign information may be used to respond to requests, organize volunteers, coordinate signs and events, provide campaign updates where consent has been given, process lawful contributions and meet election-law record-keeping requirements.
Sharing
The campaign should not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers used to operate campaign systems, subject to appropriate agreements, and may be disclosed where required by election law or other legal obligations.
Retention
Retention periods should reflect campaign needs and applicable election-law requirements. Data that is no longer required should be securely deleted or anonymized where appropriate.
Your choices
Residents should be able to unsubscribe from campaign emails and request corrections to contact information. Contribution records may be subject to statutory retention and disclosure requirements.
Contact
Questions about campaign privacy should be directed through the campaign contact page until a dedicated privacy contact is assigned.
